There are three ways to find a race on ALLEYKAT: Races, the World Map, and share links.
Races
Browse upcoming and past races at alleykat.app/races or in the app. You can search across every race type by name or location, and filter between upcoming and past events.
The World Map
The World Map plots active races as pins so you can spot events near you at a glance. In-person and async races show up in the active pin set.
Share links
Every race has a share link of the form alleykat.app/share/race/<id>. Opening it takes you straight to the race detail page — and if you have the app installed, it opens the race directly in the app.
Kinds of races you'll see
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Point-to-point | An on-site race from a start corral, through ordered waypoints, to a separate finish. |
| Loop | An on-site race on a repeating loop — the most laps within a fixed time window wins. |
| Backyard ultra | A last-person-standing loop: finish each yard before the bell or you are out. |
| Relay | An on-site team race with GPS handoffs between teammates. |
| Alleycat | Like point-to-point, but the intermediate waypoints can be hit in any order. |
| Scavenger | A point-to-point course kept secret — each waypoint is revealed only once you reach the one before it. |
| Async | Run any time within an open window, on your own. Free or paid — the organizer decides. |
| FKT | An always-open route record. FKTs have been sunset — existing routes stay open, but no new ones are created. |
