ALLEYKAT lets anyone create or join live, GPS-timed races anywhere in the world. Built for grassroots running organizations, run clubs, unsanctioned racing groups, and friends who just want to put on their own races. Whether it's underground races, pop-up runs, alleycat races, speakeasy racing, backyard ultras, or guerrilla running events — ALLEYKAT gives grassroots communities the tools to organize and time their own races. Available on the web, iOS, and Android.

## What ALLEYKAT Does

- **Live GPS Race Timing**: Real-time race tracking, validation, and results powered by GPS — no timing mats, chips, or bibs
- **Race Creation**: Anyone can create a race — run clubs, friend groups, grassroots orgs — no sanctioning body or permits required
- **Race Portal**: Browse, search, and join upcoming unsanctioned races
- **Race Director Dashboard**: Manage participants, results, communications, and Stripe payouts from the web
- **Multiple Race Formats**: Live (virtual), in-person point-to-point and loop, on-demand (async), and FKT (Fastest Known Time) races
- **Result Recovery**: Salvage a result after a crash or dead phone via GPX upload or Garmin sync
- **iOS & Android Apps**: Native mobile apps for live race participation and tracking

## Pricing

The app is free to download and free races are free to run. Paid races cost the organizer $1 per runner plus 8% of the registration fee (organizer keeps the rest, paid via Stripe). On-demand (async) and FKT races are always free.
